Reveladora de la sensibilidad o el ánimo colectivo de un momento, periodo o época, la música –especialmente popular y juvenil– ha sido capaz de clarificar, difundir y compartir inconformidades colectivas y desarrollar una enorme y aguda capacidad crítica, tal como lo destacó hace medio siglo Robert Rosenstone (1969).
