Abstract

The objective of this paper is to study the interview society as a concept that allows describing and classifying a type of social organization of the interview beyond a mere technique used by the social sciences. The concept is used in its greatest formulation by Paul Atkinson and David Silverman in an article called “Kundera's Immortality: The Interview Society and the Invention of the Self” in 1997, the intention is to examine it, expand it and observe three aspects: the imagological self, the posterior and anterior regions as well as the criticism of the authenticity and substantiation of the interview.
